Assistant Training Director Position

Jurisdiction and Programs : The Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville administers
apprenticeship and training programs for the local electrical construction industry. Covered
classifications include: Inside Wireman, Apprentices, Construction Wireman and VDV Installer.
There are also various Journeyman upgrade and Construction Wireman Pre-Apprenticeship
classes and area High School Pre-Apprenticeship programs offered.

The Position: The Assistant Training Director helps oversee and is responsible for the daily
operations of the Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville Facility and works under the
direction of the Training Director and Apprenticeship Trustee Committee. The position has
administrative responsibilities for planning, directing, administering and evaluating the Training
Center and the programs that it implements. The individual must be able to develop
relationships with participating contractors, the Local Union, high schools and community
groups while supporting the ETA mission with the coordination and development of the
workforce training strategies. The Assistant Training Director will be responsible to the Director
for the administration of all staff, students and instructors. They will also assist in managing the
facility’s use and maintenance and provide support in preparing and implementing financial
budgets, reports, evaluations, presentations and planning activities.

The Candidate : The candidate should have knowledge of the principles of management,
supervision and training. The candidate should be a strong leader who is a team player with a
collaborative approach and very strong interpersonal skills. The candidate must be innovative,
assertive and dedicated to advancing the goals of the ETA Apprenticeship Trustee Committee.
A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.

Compensation : The annual salary is in the $60k - $70k range depending on experience and
education and includes whole family health care and retirement packages.

Selection Process : The selection process will consist of an evaluation and interview conducted
by the Electrical Training Alliance of Jacksonville Trustee committee. The committee will
primarily be evaluating the candidate's professional accomplishments, goals, leadership abilities
and compatibility.
